In autumn 2019, we conducted a successful crowdfunding campaign in collaboration with the Dutch Albert Schweitzer Fund (NASF). Almost € 15,000 was collected! With this new financial contribution, we will make the entire 3D process more sustainable. The goal of 3D Sierra Leone is to work together with the local physiotherapists, IT specialists and prosthesis makers and give them training to eventually take over the project. With this new campaign we can give the first local employees a small contribution for their indispensable work! In this way we hope to attract more enthusiastic employees with who we can expand the project. In addition, we recently brought a 4-wheel drive and a new 3D printer to the hospital to help our production and be able to follow our patients during the rehabilitation! Sustainable energy generation and a stable connection are also being considered, more updates will be available shortly. All thanks to the cooperation with the NASF, for which we are very grateful.
