Last week we won the Health for All Film Festival – Students special prize of the World Health Organization. Our Dutch-Sierra Leonean teams feel very honored to receive this award. Idrissah and Osman, the local employees of the 3D project at the Masanga Hospital Sierra Leone, were very proud.

The upcoming years will be exciting for the project. In the Netherlands, we are developing software that will make the workflow easier and automatic. Osman does a perfect job with the 3D scanner. We hope that with the new AI-based software, local employees can also perform the designing steps independently in the near future.

We have the ambition that prostheses will become more easily available in Sierra Leone and other countries where the need for affordable prostheses is high.
